The Town of Gambo is committed to ensuring the residents of Gambo have access to the most up-to-date information released by Official Organizations and our Government.  Updates and links will be posted as they become available.

Spring Waste Collection & Drop Off--The Town of Gambo would like to advise all residents that a Household Bulk Item, Mixed Waste, Electronic Waste and Metal Drop Off weekend has been scheduled for the following dates: June 17th & 18th   (10:00AM—12:00 NOON & 1:00PM—4:00PM) All items to be dropped off at the Municipal Yard located at 12 Centennial Road. mall items should be bagged or boxed. If using garbage bags, residents MUST use transparent blue or clear bags as per the rules of the regular garbage collection. NO OTHER GARBAGE BAGS will be accepted. Metals and bulk items such as furniture, washing machines, dryers, stoves, etc. will be accepted. Wood, brush, alders, construction/demolition materials and hazardous waste will NOT be accepted. The following electronic items will be accepted: · televisions; · desktop, laptop and notebook computers including CPUs, keyboards, mice, cables, and other components in the computer; · computer monitors;· computer desktop printers, including printers that have scanning and/or fax capabilities; · computer scanners; · audio and video playback and recording systems; · telephones and fax machines; cell phones and other wireless devices; · microwave ovens.  All bins will be labeled for the appropriate disposal. Curbside Collection will be available to those who need it. To have your name added to the list for curbside clean-up collection, or for further information, please contact the Town Office at 674-4476. The deadline for requesting curbside collection is Thursday, June 15th, 2023.If utilizing the curbside collection, refuse must not be put out any earlier than 2 days prior to Collection Day and must not be put out after the designated day for the clean-up. You will be advised as to when Collection Day will be upon completion of a schedule.Place items at the curb where it is easily accessible to collectors. Please note all similar items must be sorted together and will not be collected if not sorted accordingly.  There will be NO extremely large loads collected from one property.Please have your clean-up items separated from your normal residential garbage.Tires will be collected by DROP-OFF ONLY at the Municipal Depot on Saturday, June 17th & Sunday, June 18th.  We will only accept tires under 24.5 inches (rim size). We will not accept ATV, off-road, forklift or any other industrial tires. All rims  must be removed and tires free of debris. Car wrecks will be picked up for FREE.  Car wrecks will not be removed from any properties if there is household garbage placed in the vehicle. Wrecks (non-mobile vehicles) not  voluntarily removed under this program, will be removed by the Town with the cost charged to the property owner.  Please call the Town Office to have your wrecks added to the list for pick-up.  The Town of Gambo encourages all residents to actively participate in the Drop off Collection.Lorne GreeneTown Clerk 

March 20th, 2020 - Staff at our office took part in a Conference Call yesterday with MNL and other municipalities in our region to discuss the measures being taken by Councils and Staff across the province as well as the future outlook of this situation.From the discussion, we learned that the actions taken by the Town of Gambo so far are on par with other municipalities; not just in our region, but throughout the province.Council and staff continue to monitor updates on COVID-19 as they are released worldwide, nationally and provincially. We will keep communications open with residents, all levels of government as well as other municipalities in our area to ensure that we are acting in the best interest of our residents.A big thank you to Municipalities Newfoundland & Labrador for organizing this call as well as the communities who took part in the discussions.

March 19th, 2020 - The Town Hall has received the following notification from Central Newfoundland Waste Management:
- Staff at the main office will be working remotely from home;
- Payment of invoices/bills are to be made using Online Banking, Credit Card (via email) or by mailing in a payment. Scale Houses WILL NOT be accepting cash payments;
- Curb Side Collection for Municipalities will continue as scheduled.We have also received the following link from the Gander & Area Chamber of Commerce to share with our business community to help keep them informed during COVID-19:
