The Town of Gambo is presently accepting resumes for the position of Events Coordinator from April 17th,2023-September 1st, 2023. This position will be the leader in the development of all festivals and events.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and leading of all Festivals and Events
-Responsible for the supervision of all staff and volunteers involved with all Festival and Events
-Responsible to work closely with relevant committees and volunteers to maximize the use of all aspects of all Festivals and Events
-Responsible for the collection of all monies generated from the Smallwood Days Festival and Events as well as maintaining clear, concise records of revenue and expenses
-Responsible for the daily operations of the Festival Office including general office duties
-Responsible for all the preparations and overall efficient operation of all festival related events
-Responsible for other related duties as assigned by Town Clerk and/or Council
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-Training and experience in the tourism field including Events organization and coordination an asset
-Excellent public relation and communication skills
-Ability to work flexible hours with evening and weekend work required
-Ability to work in a computer active environment and multi-task in a fast pace environment
-Ability to keep clear, concise records of inventory, revenue and expenses
-Ability to work with minimal supervision
-Ability to motivate a team and be self motivated
-Team Player and Leader
Conditions of Employment
-Access to a vehicle and a valid Class 5 driver’s license
-Letter of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check
-$16.31 per hour - 40 hours per week
